They’re looking forward to having all of their favorite people in the same place at the same time, dancing the night away, and being married!Ĭongratulations to our very dear friends! We are so happy for this wonderful season of your lives and can’t wait to celebrate your marriage next year. The beautiful couple will be getting married at the Inn at Leola Village on December 28th, 2019. Even though their trip was shorter than expected, they still had a blast and it was a great way for them to see each other respond to and handle a crazy situation together. When they got to the airport they found out that their flight was delayed until the next day. One of their favorite memories from when they were dating was after Andrew’s first semester of medical school when Lydia treated him with a trip to Mexico. Andrew loves her love for her family, how incredibly nice she is to everyone she meets, and how amazing of a planner she is. Lydia loves Andrew’s love for his family, his ability to make her laugh, and his sincere kindness in all situations. (Can we just say how much we love that Andrew involved Lydia’s and his parents?!) After he asked her to marry him, they went downtown to a bar where their closest family members and friends were to celebrate their engagement. He had tea lights set up and even had Lydia’s cousin hide in the bushes to capture the proposal. where Andrew was right in front of the Susquehanna River. Then, Lydia’s parents picked her up from the hotel and drove her to State St. Then they drove her to a local hotel where she was told to go to the room where her sister had provided her with some cute clothing options. Instead, his parents came up beside her window and handed her a note. One Friday night she was supposed to pick him up from the train station in Harrisburg, but he never got off the train. They picked out Lydia’s ring together, so she had somewhat of an idea that Andrew was going to propose she just didn’t know when. Together they enjoy spending time with their families, going on vacations, sporting events, going on fun adventures, traveling, and studying together (when they have to). They had a long distance relationship for a while, and now they’re both in medical school but are able to see each other more often. They finished high school together and went to different colleges, Lydia at Lock Haven and Andrew at Elizabethtown. They are truly high school sweethearts! They dated for about 8 years before getting engaged. Lydia & Andrew have been dating ever since they met in high school at the ages of 15 and 16.
